Studies

 

Michelangelo, Pollock, Guston. I thought I needed gallons of paint. Somewhat like Viola, in joy of beauty and Creation. Yet I, and she as well, inevitably desired complementation, relationship, movement into frontier beyond. To return, perhaps, with greater ability and better judgment of understanding and vision more deep, more vast, less biased by accident, advantage, disadvantage, birth, desire, ego and limited knowledge which fools us into thinking we are wise when we are actually enormously ignorant. To be faithful I was unfaithful, while yet keeping faith in my breast pocket.

 

A few years later I was writing on toilet paper. To trade ego for understanding was unwise.

 

The link above: humble samples of a love given up. That I be not blindly or too easily proud, taking for granted that I know what I'm doing as an artist simply because I was born with that particular gift.

      

Not possible to avoid all technological distortions or wear and tear of time. But it's just to share.
